About Gir national park, Forest &  Sanctuary (Gujurat): The Gir forest national park- the major condensed tract of dry disambiguation forests in the semi-arid western region, India is the final habitat of the large and royal marauder Asiatic lion, an endangered species. crocodile, langur, porcupine, ratel, jackal, fox, mongoose, civets etc  are staying in Gir forest national park.  Gir Sanctuary sustain a wealthy biodiversity covering 32 species of mammals, 300 species of birds and 26 species of reptiles and thousands of species of insects. Gir forest national park:

The Sanctuary extended through out  Junagadh and Amreli districts of Saurashtra. The major centre "Sasan" is situated in Talala taluka of Junagadh district at 60 km far from Junagadh. Gir National Park region covers 258.71 sq. Km and  Sanctuary region covers  1153.42 sq. Km.  Gir forests of Gujarat (India) is the only usual place where Asiatic lion is found. Malabar whistling thrush, orange headed ground thrush, paradise flycatcher, black naped fly catcher, Indian pitta, tawny eagle, Bonelli’s eagle, crested serpent eagle, king vulture, crested hawk eagle, painted storks, pelicans, peafowl etc. are found in Gir Sanctuary. . How to reach here:

Gir National Park is 60 km from Junagadh, the most common base for making a visit, and 360 km from Ahmedabad.  The main centre is at Sasan Gir, and has a forest guest house maintained by the park, just opposite the railway station.  One can travel by rail to Junagadh from Ahmedabad or Rajkot and then take a 65 km road trip on bus or taxi to Sasan Gir. A permit for entering the park is obtained at the Sinh Sadan Orientation Centre, Visit Gujarat Forest Department Website for timing. A 35-40 km driving route through the park is maintained for visitors. Unless traveling with an official and experienced guide, you must not leave your vehicle at any time, for your own safety as well as the well-being of the park and its inhabitants.)  Entry fees, per vehicle with up to 6 occupants, are, for Indians- Rs. 400/- Mon.-Fri., Rs. 500/- Sat.-Sun., and Rs. 600/- for holidays.  Entry for foreigners US$40. About Dwarka:

Dwarka was identified as the town of Gold. Shree Krishna came at this juncture from Mathura along with some Yadav families and stands his own kingdom Dwarka. It is known as Dwarkamati and Dwarkavati. Being adopted home and capital of Shri Krishna after he left Mathura. The five storied temple is constructed  with limestone and sand. A flag is placed in the temple tower five times daily. Dwarka Gujurat temple was constructed during the time of 6th to 7th century.  The original temple was supposed to have been strucuted by Krishna's great grandson, King Vajra. About Dwarka gujurat temple, one can view the Sangam (confluence) of River Gomati curving towards the Arabian ocean. Nageshvara Jyotirlinga, one of the twelve sacred shrines of Shiva, is sited near Dwaraka. Dwarka is also the place of Dvaraka Pitha, one of the four original mathas established by Adi Shankara. Dwarka darshan are follows  by Mangala, shringar, gval, rajbhog, uthapan, bhog, sandhya aarati, shayan subsequently.  It had six well-organized sectors, residential and commercial zones, wide roads, plazas, palaces and many public utilities. Bet Dwarka is famous for its temples dedicated to Lord Krishna and is of great importance in the ancient Hindu tradition.

Dwarka to somnath:

Somnath is only easy to get  by roadways from Dwarka as it has neither airport nor railway station. State run buses from normal to semi-deluxe are accessible covering only 5-6 hours and tariff is around Rs 100. Dwarka (Gujarat) to Somnath (Gujarat) is 235 km. Time by road is 4 hrs. Mahashivratri will be packed and it will be complicated to get lodging at Somnath.

But, Delhi Dwarka is a recent township colony.  Dwarka Delhi is a part of the West Delhi Lok Sabha constituency. Dwarka Delhi covers an area 5648 Hectares as per DDA report. New Dwarka Expressway is in total an eight lane expressway being developed to assist the commuters passing via this route.  New Dwarka Expressway is being developed by the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA).  One of the largest residential areas in Asia is Dwarka Delhi.
